Frequently Asked Questions

Does Golf Shack sell alcohol or can I bring my own?

Alcohol is not permitted on the premises during business hours.   However,  if you become a member and rent the space out as a PRIVATE EVENT,  you may bring your own food and byob drinks.  Private event space rentals are available Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm-10pm.

Doc’s Rib Cage in Tontogany is about 100 yards from the Golf Shack and offers a full bar, famous ribs, great burgers and chunks.  Stop at Doc’s before or after your golf game!

How do I become a member?

Membership is FREE after you have played 3 rounds of golf at Golf Shack and have demonstrated you are comfortable operating our golf simulator.  Members are approved by the owner, based on the ability to operate the simulator responsibly without assistance.  Members are expected to use the facility for golf, practice and family friendly related events. The Golf Shack is not the place for a bachelor party, drinking party, or any similar function.   Members are expected to clean up after all private event rentals and treat the facility responsibly.

What the advantage of being a member?

Members will get access to ‘MEMBER HOURS’ and will recieve a key code to enter the Golf Shack.  Members are able to play at reduced rates during the following MEMBER HOURS – Tuesday 8am-10pm, Wednesday, 7pm-10pm, and Sunday, 6pm-10pm.   Members will still be required to book tee times online.  Members hours are unstaffed and members are required to run the simulator 100% on their own.   Alcohol is not permitted during member hours, as the facility is still technically open to other members for use.   All members are welcome to use the weights to work out, to use the putting green for practice, and watch the TV’s before or after a simulator booking at no additional cost.

Membership is also required to rent the Golf Shack as a PRIVATE EVENT SPACE.
